The moment I realized I was wrong...

Isn't it fascinating how immediate technology makes our actions? There is no more writing letters with careful thought and rereading them countless times before you send them. For the most part, when we are communicating with someone, we shoot them a text--sometimes misspelled or containing things that could be misunderstood. This communication that we consider so convenient has become a monster in our personal relationships. The scary thing is, this demon has not affected me just once. There have been countless times when "the moment I realized I was wrong" has been the second I pressed send on that text message. Whether it was "I should have said ____ instead" or "this person is going to think I meant ____", those messages have come back to haunt me. Thankfully, because of our immediate technology obsession, there are opportunities to fix things like this, but it is the times where one click of the send button has ruined a day or even a friendship that I curse our text message reliance.
